Description

Every jonquil has about five or six flowers growing out of its bulb root. Jonquils are spring flowers and are among the first to bloom after winter. The Jonquil flower has many stories and myths linked to it and nations who cultivated it. The name Narcissus comes from the old Greek word Narkissos. Narkissos was a young man in Greek mythology who adored himself and his reflection so much, that he fell into the pond and drowned because he was too in love with his reflection in the water.
